Meet Darren Moreno
I was born in New Jersey from the proud parents of 4 boys. I lived there until 2005, until I decided to move to the Sunshine State. My wish was to be closer to my family, who had moved here prior. As a loyal NY Yankees fan, I tend to "bump heads" with the upstart Tamps Bay Rays baseball fans. I always mention our 27 Championships (and counting) give my team bragging rights over EVERYBODY!
Coming from a big and populated city in the Northeast to a quaint town like Lakeland was total culture shock! Over the years, however, I have grown to love this community very much. I remember thinking how “nice” everyone was when I moved here initially. I enjoy walking Lake Hollingsworth with my lazy dog, Charlie, working out at the gym, & playing basketball in my leisure time. I have a passion for cars stemming from my father, who was a mechanic for 40 plus years. When I want a taste of home, you’ll find me at the Palace Pizza restaurant. The food there brings me back to the Jersey Shore.
I specialize in residential re-sales & new home sales. I have also been certified as a Short Sale and Foreclosure specialist. I began my real estate career in 2005 & was “hooked” the first time I experienced the joy of helping someone achieve homeownership. As a former mortgage officer, I am quite knowledgeable of today’s lending practices. I work with a vast network of lenders that can give you a perfect loan for your dream home.
