Meet The Group: Rusty Shinault
Born in South Haven, Michigan, on Thanksgiving Day of 1961, I graduated from Bangor High School, Bangor, Michigan in 1980. During my freshman year of High School, I made my first trip to Florida during Spring break. I knew immediately that I loved Florida, and all the terrific weather that came with it. January 1981 was when I made that leap of faith, and left the security of my family to start my own life and pave my own way. I landed in Lakeland, and have called Lakeland my ‘home’ ever since.
How I relax? I love to travel. I often make trips to Michigan to visit my family who still suffer through the winters. I also make a trip to the Smoky Mountains at least once a year, and love the long scenic winding drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I have no children, (I wish to leave that to the professionals); but I do have two beautiful Miniature Schnauzers, Sebastian and Sabrina. They definitely keep my attention because they know the world revolves around them and are not afraid to remind me of that fact daily.
For the first time, I can actually say that I truly ‘Love’ my job. It brings me great pleasure to help my customers with the important and often emotional decision of buying or selling a home. I believe in going that extra mile for all my customers, and I will for you too.
